Cache Creek River Stop

Snake River, Oregon side

I volunteered here for two weeks. I was tour guide, host, janitor, permit manager, grounds keeper and snake wrangler. It was good and tiring and fun and hot and a learning experience and lonely and non-stop people. I am luck to have the opportunity and grateful to do it and have not one single regret!

This first set of photos is of the property. I was boated in, trained, and left on my own. It was an odd sort of feeling watching the staff leave knowing it was just me.

This set is of the wildlife. Regular deer and turkeys, then I got to see some big horned sheep while on the river in a boat. I heard coyote, but never saw them. I have no photos of the rattlesnakes.

Here are some nature photos, both from land and from a boat.

Cheers!
